Sponsor Cover Letter for Hanfparade 2011

The Hanfparade (Hemp Parade) is the most traditional demonstration for the legalisation of Cannabis in Germany. Since 1997 it has been held annually in Berlin. The next Hanfparade is scheduled for 6th August 2011 and registered with the motto "40 Jahre sind genug - BtMG ade!" (40 years are enough - Bye Bye BtMG!*). (*BtMG = "Betäubungsmittelgesetz" = German Narcotics Act)

The 15th Hanfparade is already gathering more interest than over the past five years, partly due to this year's successful parade - which carried the motto "Cannabis is (world) culture" - also partly to the growing confidence of the scene in the organisation team. Moreover, present Californian legalisation initiatives are revitalising the topic also in this country and the Hanfparade 2011 intends to use this boost.

As a large political and cultural event the Hanfparade is planned to inform the public and media about the potential of Cannabis as a raw material, medicine and natural stimulant. A highlight in the traditional parade of floats will be a big final rally. In the heart of Berlin a stage, an area for agricultural hemp, a forum for hemp medicine plus a colourful fair with 100 hemp stalls shall offer an experience for everyone on the diversity of the plant Cannabis.

Flyers, posters, videos and radio jingles; the organisation team will use a multitude of advertising media. Social networks will assist to make the Hanfparade 2011 a lavish event.

The pre-calculated expenditures for the Hanfparade 2011 amount to 26,000 Euro. The largest chunk of the budget will be covered by scene related enterprises. To ease your decision for sponsoring the Hanfparade offers two different sponsor bundles.

Silver sponsors invest 1,000 Euro. They can place their logo on advertising media of the Hanfparade, claim a free information stand at the hemp fair, a banner at the stage and a link on the Hanfparade website.
Gold sponsors receive the same coverage but have the advantage of bigger logos and banners. They will also be named in statements to the press, radio jingles and be represented on the website with text, links and logos. Costs for Gold sponsors are 2,500 Euro.
